This position is designed for someone who will play a central leadership role in our sales operation. The role combines sales office management, key account coordination, and inventory oversight to ensure smooth communication, accurate order flow, and a high level of customer service across the business.

This is a full-time, year-round position offering structured training, increasing responsibility, performance based compensation growth, and a full benefits package including health, dental, IRA, and PTO.

Position Overview

The Sales Office Manager & Key Account Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and
performance of the sales office. This role ensures that customer communication, order management, and
internal coordination between Sales, Growing, Inventory, and Shipping operate efficiently and consistently.

You will act as the central hub of the sales operation, helping to organize workflows, solve problems, and
maintain a high standard of execution across the team.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Office Management & Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the sales office, ensuring all orders, communication, and tasks are handled accurately and on time.
  • Support and assist Sales staff with workload management, prioritization, and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate workflow between Owners, Sales Representatives, Inventory, Growing, and Shipping
    teams.
  • Monitor order flow from entry through fulfillment to ensure accuracy, timing, and customer
    satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication standards for customer interactions and internal
    coordination.
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and
    consistency.
  • Help train new team members on systems, processes, and expectations.
  • Ensure customer issues, shortages, and changes are handled quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain visibility across all key accounts, orders, and inventory risks to prevent problems before they occur.

Key Account Coordination

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for assigned key accounts, managing all communication, orders, and adjustments.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to support long-term growth and trust.
  • Manage weekly order flow with a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Coordinate substitutions, shortages, and updates proactively with customers and internal teams.
  • Track and communicate key performance metrics such as fulfillment rates, shortages, and extras.

Inventory & Crop Coordination

  • Maintain accurate inventory visibility tied to key accounts and overall availability.
  • Work closely with Growing and Shipping teams to monitor crop readiness, risks, and timing.
  • Identify potential shortages early and communicate solutions proactively.
  • Support forecasting and seasonal planning using past sales, shrink, and availability trends.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field, OR 4+ years
    of experience in horticulture in one or more of the following areas: sales, design and maintenance,
    inventory management, or customer service.
  • Strong plant knowledge and a genuine passion for plants.
  • Desire for continued education and learning new plant knowledge.

Management & Leadership Experience

  • Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role.
  • Experience managing workflows, prioritizing tasks, or supporting team performance in a fast-paced
    environment.
  • Ability to guide, support, and hold team members accountable in a professional and respectful
    way.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of processes and drive improvements across teams.
  • Comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and communicating clearly across departments.

Additional Responsibilities
This role requires flexibility to support the business during peak and off-season periods, including:

  • Assisting with general office needs and customer support
  • Participating in greenhouse or yard projects such as planting or maintenance
  • Assisting with process improvements, system updates, and internal projects

Salary & Bonus:

  • Starting salary: $60,000 – $70,000 depending on experience
  • Performance-based raises tied to responsibility, impact, and role growth
    Paid Time Off (PTO):
  • 40 hours of PTO after 12 weeks of employment
  • 80 hours of PTO after one year
  • 48 hours (six days) of paid holiday break from Christmas through New Year’s
  • All major holidays off and paid (Memorial Day work required, with a floating day available after the
    busy season)

Full Sales Representative Bonus Structure
Perennial Favorites offers an annual Sales Bonus Program designed to reward individual performance,
company growth, and professional contribution. This plan aligns each sales representative with the company’s mission of teamwork, accountability, and shared success.

Program Structure
Each annual bonus is made up of three components, all calculated using the same multiplier scale shown
below:

  1. Key Account Commission Bonus (50%)
    a. Based on each sales representative’s total annual sales compared to the previous year’s results and established goals.
  1. Team Performance (30%)
    a. Based on overall department performance and progress toward team goals.
  1. Behavior and Manager Evaluation (20%)
    a. Based on professionalism, communication, teamwork, and overall contribution to company culture
    as assessed by management.

o Bonus Funding
– A representative’s total possible bonus depends on overall company sales for the year
and whether company goals are achieved used.
– The same multiplier scale is applied to all three bonus components and initial multiplier
based on overall company performance.
