Ken Cox (known to many as Wood) is the co-owner and Sales Representative of Perennial Favorites, a family-run wholesale nursery in Layton, Utah. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Technical Sales and Marketing with honors from Weber State University in 2010, building on a childhood spent gaining practical horticultural experience in his family’s greenhouses. With more than two decades in the industry, Ken pairs deep plant knowledge with a disciplined, data-driven management style. His professional focus centers on strategic sales, key-account stewardship, and continuous process improvement. By integrating technology, clear metrics, and structured employee development, he aligns operational efficiency with high standards of customer service. Ken’s work is guided by a commitment to sustainable, region-appropriate horticulture, particularly native and water-wise perennials. Outside the nursery he remains connected to the landscape he serves, spending personal time fishing and backpacking in the Uinta Mountains, boating on Lake Powell, and exploring Utah’s desert terrain with his wife and three children. These pursuits reinforce his principle of leaving every environment—whether natural or organizational—better than he found it.

Adam Boden

Adam Boden brings a strong background in landscape management and horticulture to his role as a Sales Representative at Perennial Favorites. A graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Landscape Management, Adam combines technical expertise with hands-on experience in plant identification, turf science, pruning, and sustainable landscape practices. He is fluent in Spanish and brings exceptional customer service and organizational skills to the team. Adam manages a diverse territory across Colorado, Wyoming, and southern and eastern Utah, serving over 75 retail garden centers, landscapers, and re-wholesalers. He is known for his responsiveness, ability to tailor plant selections to specific climates and trends, and his dedication to making every order accurate and efficient from quote to delivery. Adam has a particular passion for native plants and ornamental grasses and is deeply committed to advancing water-efficient landscaping across the Intermountain West. He regularly works with customers to promote plant choices that thrive in Utah’s arid climate, helping clients design and install beautiful, resilient, and water-wise landscapes. When not assisting clients or on the road, Adam contributes across the nursery jumping in wherever needed, from planting and propagation to logistics and customer fulfillment. He is committed to growing strong relationships and helping Perennial Favorites thrive in new regions.
